On March 18th, our baby boy Jax was born. We had the pleasure of welcoming him home on June 7th. He is adorable and lovely. We are having issues with bitting/nibbling so if you have any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
welcome and congrats.
He was 7 weeks when you brought him home?
pretty typical behaviour of for a puppy. One technique is to make a high pitch help and turn away. Make sure he has plenty of appropriate puppy toys to chew on and give him those.
I highly recommend puppy classes, these are made for puppies that are too young for basic obedience and don't yet have all their shots. They are SUPER useful for new owners as a good puppy class will cover ALL the basic issues people have with puppies (house training, biting, recall, etc.) and give you tips for training and most important - SOCIALIZATION in a safe environment.
I see you live in the same city as me, I can recommend some really wonderful puppy classes!
We are registered with Best Friends training. Ever heard of them? In what area do u live? Perhaps are dogs can meet and socialize
I am in the west end
Puppy Classes at Best Friend should be good! I haven't taken many classes there since I'm in the other end of town but know many of the trainers there! I took puppy classes with a foster once and LOVED it. I need to foster puppies just to get to go again
Penny is a bit much for a wee pup but we can meet once your pup is a bit older.
Good luck with your new puppy!
