Hello, I came across this site while trying to figure out why my 3 year old black lab mix was farting so much, thinking it is maybe his food though. I adopted my black lab mix Dexter from a shelter from which he had been in twice and I'd rather not ever have to see him go for a 3rd time. What makes him unique is the fact that he has only 3 legs. He was abandoned when he was a year old and hit by a car, he was found limping and his right leg was badly damaged and the vet decided to amputate the leg at the shoulder. They took him to a shelter where he was adopted out but his previous family had to give him up as they were moving to a place where they could not take him. This is where me and my wife come in. We bought a home and wanted to fill it with a dog and went online and looked at the shelter (I'd rather rescue more than anything) and we saw him then we went and met him, he was a great dog from the start. The shelter told us that he was not easily going to be adopted out due to his limitations, from which I don't think he is limited as he can jump run and play just fine, we knew that we had to give him a home so we did. He was anxious at first but quickly warmed up to us now he follows us and is just a great loving pup! Now if we can just keep him from chasing the cat... Attachment 12617image(1).jpg
