I am Missy from Upstate NY(Waaaay upstate). I have a wonderful DH and two DSs(ages 9 and 10). We have a small farm up here in the North Country consisting of chickens and goats. We also have hamsters, New Zealand Rabbits, fish, 3 beagles, a boxer and a Chinese Crested(powder puff).
I decided to join this form as I have been researching labs for a long long time and although I am confident on the knowledge I have obtained on labs, What I am lacking is peoples personal experiences.
My first ever Lab puppy was born yesterday and will be coming home to live with us on September 23.
Please bare with me as I ask questions

Welcome and just start reading threads! A lot of personal stories here about how these wonderful animals have touched lives
Welcome! I would think the beagles kept you busy enough. Had 3 myself. Congrats
The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!
Thank you all for the warm welcomes!
Hi Missy! I'm originally from upstate NY, too, although I don't think as far up as you are (I was in Ulster County). We had a small farm, too- horses, goats, ducks, geese, chickens, pigs, rabbits, cats and dogs. Can't wait to hear more about you and your family (human and critter)!
Welcome and congrats on your new baby! It sounds like you have the perfect home for a Lab to grow up in and add to the fun.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.
MicksMom-Yes we are farther up, We are on the border of Canada near Montreal and Vermont.
I think I may go completely nuts before September 23rd!
