    QuestionChocolate labs coat

Hi, I am new to this site.
I am looking for some help. My chocolate lab (bitch) had her tummy and part of her sides shaved at the beginning of February for an ultra sound and X-ray at the vets. Her coat still is not back to normal and is growing extremely slowly. Anyone got any ideas as to why this is? and can I do anything to help it grow quicker? giving her vitamins .

Welcome to the site. Would it be possible to see a photo of the area?

Don't worry about it. It is slow to grow.

Welcome. My chocolate girl had her leg shaved at the end of September and the fur still hasn't grown. Around her butt looks like she rubs it off on the carpet it is so bald.

When Moka broke her leg they shaved her all the way up to her back, including her hip area.
It took almost a full year to grow in properly.

On the other hand, Java's coat grew back in extremely quick after each of her knee surgeries.

There's really nothing you can do, it will grown back on it's own time.
