    DefaultHello from Oregon

    Hi,

My name is Sabrina and I am from Oregon. We have a almost 6MO chiweenie lab ( name Pepper). She learn new tricks pretty fast ( as long as there are treats, lol). We have a few cats but none wants to play with her, though they love to steal her food. So in about 2-3 weeks time, we will be getting her a playmate. I know it's going to be a handful.... but I guess the rewards will be worth it.

Anyway, here's a photo of my girl Bella when we picked up Pepper.

Pepper and one of the kitty

Poochie getting bored ( bella in school, kitties all hiding... no one to play with )

And soon to be new playmate ( photo from the Breeder)

Still thinking of a good name for this baby boy. If anyone can help suggesting a nice name for him, would be greatly appreciated.

Anyway, I am happy to be part of this group Thanks.

if it were me, i'd wait until the dog was PERFECTLY (whatever that means) trained.

it will make everyone's life a bit easier.
dogs dont always occupy each other the way we think they will.

    Thanks Bett and dstyer65

Bett, I understand and do agreed with what you say. The thing is ( not excuse ) I don't want to go through the puppy stage again after I get "comfy" with pepper.

Our dogs are also 6 months apart (a male and a female - black and yellow English lab). The male was potty trained when we brought her home and he seemed to revert back when she had an accident in the house, as he felt he had to mark. So, maybe you won't have the same problem, as your female dog is the older one. They were a big handful, but our boy dog looked so lonely and bored we were happy to be able to provide him with a playmate. They are now 4 and 3.5 years old and the best dogs ever. Good luck!

i know but the "puppy stage" may last longer when there are two. hard to explain but they sort of feed of each other and you really need to train them apart , to have them trained well and bonded to you rather than more to each other. i once had sibs from the same litter.
    never again.
