It really depends on the quality of good you are feeding. Maxx was eating a high qouslity food and ate 3 cups daily, divided in to 2 meals at that age. Some need more, some less. Do not go by the chart on the bag of food unless you want an over weight dog. Those charts are fairly useless. Have you consulted with your breeder for guidance?

you really need to provide some more information if you want a decent answer to the question. What are you feeding and how much exercise is he getting? How much are you feeding how and how is his weight? There is no one blank answer, it depends on teh food, the dog's system and how much exercise they get.

I have 2 adult male Labs in my house - both weigh in the mid 80# range. One eats twice as much kibble daily as the other one. There really is no pat answer to this, but if you provide more info, we can help a bit.

Well he's 7 months not 100% sure on his weight as he hasn't been weighed recently. I feed him dry food and its wagg food. We go on a 40 min walk but he is pretty active always on the go.

Can you easily feel his ribs and does he have a waist? I have never heard of that food.

It sounds like he is in good shape. I would continue doing what you are doing. If you see he is gaining weight just cut back a bit and add some green beans for low calorie bulk to help him feel full. Most labs will eat anything including some of the most nasty stuff you can imagine. I was walking Maxx last night and watched hum pick something up out of the field we were walking through. I told him to drop it and it was a poor baby bird that appeared to have been ravaged by a cat or some other critter. Yuck! He got his teeth brushed twice when we got home. He was not happy about giving up the baby bird or the prolonged teeth brushing.
