My name is Rick and i just found this site this morning. I have always had labs great dogs. Saterday i had to put down my best friend for 12 years. A yellow lab named Hunter. He will be missed. I thought by joining this site it might be niced to chat with everyone here.
Hello Rick, and welcome to the forum. I am so very sorry about Hunter. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet and companion. I lost our 12 year old in May 2011. I remember thinking I just wanted the pain to stop. We started looking for a labby puppy and found our Sophie. She has saved us. No kidding. We still miss our Maggiemay every day, but Sophie has made it bearable. Have you thought about getting another dog?

Thanks everyone. Yes we are considering a new puppy. I have always had labs and just love them. To be honest my wife wanted to try a Rhodision Ridgeback but i dont know anything abot them. When you get a lab you know its going to be a great dog.
Our house feels so empty right now. I know time heals everything its just hard
Welcome and sorry for your loss. I know how it hurts. Just so you know...I know of a couple of lab puppies in VT ready to go. PM me if you're interested. Also...my boy will hopefully be a daddy at the end of Feb. if you're interested. Puppies will be in VT as well.
I sent you a pm hope it works? We might be interested. Our last lab was tall and solid around 90#. We like a big lab
Welcome to our site. We all enjoy sharing stories and getting advise. If you have had many labs you won't need advise but we would like to share stories with you and the excitement of a new pet. I am so sorry that you have lost an old friend. We all face that all too soon. All we can do is provide our boys and girls the best quality of life and take care of their limbs and their health the best we can to extend their lives. All of us here are dedicated to our beloved pets and share your grief. Let us know how you are doing and what your plans are as you discover the path you are going to take. Good luck with your choice.
