What to say? My name is Kathy, I'm 55 and had lots of dogs in my life. This is my first Lab. I got Jack when he was 5 weeks old. He's now 6 1/2 months. He is by far the friendliest, most loving, and smartest dog I've ever had. So now I understand all the fuss about labs. Seems like every day brings a question to mind, I joined this site hoping for help and insight from more experienced lab owners.
Welcome to JL........it's a great place to learn about labs!
That's what I want. Jack is the first Lab I've owned and I've totally fallen in love with the breed! This post, however is to test to see if my "signature" is working. I love this web-site so am working on my profile...
Lots to learn here !
Welcome to you and Jack!

Hi and welcome
Hello, Welcome to the forum. A lab puppy is a big job. They put everything in their mouths, nip and they will chew. Aside from those issues they are the most wonderful companions. The biggest issue is to keep them safe from themselves. They try suicide by mouth. I got my Jack plenty of chew toys and it kept the destruction to a minimum. As for the nipping it eventually goes away. We have enjoyed Jack from day one. He grew so quickly. Take lots of photos. We will enjoy seeing photos of your Jack.
