DefaultHi from Las Vegas, meet Jake!

    Attachment 5920Attachment 5921Attachment 5917
First picture is when we brought him home at 10 weeks.
Next picture is about a month ago at 6 months sleeping with "Chip"
Last picture was a close up at the vet at about 5 months, he's saying,
"I'm skarred!" He really wasn't but it looks that way.
The picture of 3 dogs was our gang.

We had 3 dogs, we lost our 14 year old Big black dog, Casey in February of this year, he appeared to be Lab but the Dna test showed he had not one ounce! He was Doberman, Harrier, American Eskimo , Pointer and a smidge of Airedale Terrier, Rottweiler, Entlebucher Mountain Dog and Finnish Spitz!
Unfortunately we lost his 15 year old brother, Digger just 3 1/2 months later, one day shy of his 15th birthday. Digger was 1/2 Lab, 1/4 Collie and 1/4 Jindo (Dna results). He looked the least Lab of my 3 but was the most!
We still have their sister, Ginger, who is 12 and is part Lab, Samoyed, Staffordshire, and a mix of GSD, Bouvier, Bull Mastiff, GSP and Chihuahua, again (Dna results).

We got Jake exactly one month after Digger passed as our poor girl was so depressed we had to do something! I don't know if we were quite ready for a new member, but it was not a mistake!
    Little Jake was so adorable!
It took Ginger a good month to even play with him. Now he can't be out of her site.
After having "older" dogs for so long, venturing back into puppy hood has been quite the experience.
Jake is a typical Lab, lol. He chews, chews, chews, but he has learned quickly and is growing out of the destructive times.
Anyway, sorry so much, just wanted to share a little history.
I have had dogs all my life. Losing my precious boys has been the hardest thing to go thru, bittersweet.
Jake is such a sweet boy and I wouldn't have him if I hadn't lost them.

    Thanks, Pam.
That was some good times for them!
It was at the "dog beach" in Del Mar, CA.
They came from Kansas and it was their first trip to the ocean.

Oh how we love our Labbies! We will get another(hopefully a rescue) when Ginger's time comes.
    You all have such beauties!
Jake has such a personality and has not shown an ounce of aggression, what a good boy!
I have met some aggressive ones in my over 10 years working in Daycares/Boarding kennels but we all
    know it is not typical.
My Digger who was 1/2 chocolate lab was such an honor to own! He looked a lot like a Dutch Shepherd but I knew he had a lot of Lab in him as these pictures will show. Attachment 5935Attachment 5936Attachment 5937 I'm sorry, I so miss him, that I have to introduce him. He was so amazing. I'll post a memorial video in the proper catergory

Super cute! As Bilbo is my first dog, I can't even begin to imagine what it is like to lose such a loving companion. It actually terrifies me, but I guess that fear makes me want to enjoy every possible moment with him. I've had my baby for just one month now, but I'd be absolutely crushed if anything happened to him. I really feel for you, I hope Jake is helping to soften the blow xxxxx

We love photos of the past loves as well as the current. He was a lovely boy as well and most of us have these lost pups that we do not want to forget. Yes I feel the same about Jack. We live every moment with him. I cannot imagine him being a dog that just lays on the deck. He is part of everything we do. Enjoy Jake
