Hi all! I have been somewhat of a lurker off and on the last couple of months, just now deciding to say 'hello'. My husband and I own 4 dogs, 2 mixed breed and 2 full blood Labrador Retrievers, we purchased back at the end of March of this year from a great breeder here in Kentucky. I bought my first black Lab back in 1973, while a sophomore in High School, and have loved the breed ever since. My first Lab was from Field Hunt bloodlines, and was a major part of mine and my husbands life for 15 years. We then purchased 2 black lab females back in '96 from a breeder in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and they were with us until 2009, nice girls. Now, we have two males, a chocolate, named Coco and a black named Boo. These two boys are field hunt bred also, like my first Lab. These boys never cease to amaze us, with their willingness and intelligence. We live in a rural area of Kentucky, and also have 2 horses we trail ride with, plus when we ride, the dogs go with us. My husband and I have a business here at home, a automotive specialty shop, plus I do ceramics, mold making and casting of limited edition ceramic horse sculptures, plus do handthrown pottery on a pottery wheel. I also have 2 other dogs, senior citizens, mixed breed, one is a aussie or border collie, the other is a large breed mix, so loveable it doesn't make any difference to us. LOL, having grown up in KY, I got a huge happy giggle from your posting!
.... trail rides, ceramics, and horse sculptures, handthrown pottery... oh that is so Kentucky!
The Kentucky I know!
Love Kentucky, likely the most beautiful state in the US.
Your dogs are twins, just different colors. Same face, same tongue, same tail curl.... are they littermates?
Welcome - you have two gorgeous labs!
