Hello! I have a 6 year-old wonderful lab named Buster. I just found this forum and as my precious boy ages I figure there will be plenty of questions that will need answering.
We got him at a silent auction (he had to either go that day or to the pound where he would have been euthanized :-( ) when he was 6 months old and have been inseparable since... well besides college which I am unable to take him too. I tried having another dog that was a rescue at college but because of her young age, I wasn't able to provide her with the necessary energy requirements and my grades were slipping so my family graciously decided to adopt her from me and I took Buster with me in exchange. However, because of the answers to a previous post it is in his best interest to remain where we grew up.
He is a wonderful boy and I hate leaving him. He never barks and follows me everywhere. Compared with all the other dogs we have and have had, he is the best dog yet. I love my lab! (I tried including a picture of him following the instructions from the post about posting pictures but I am not sure what will happen or if I did everything right. Fingers crossed!)
Welcome to the forum!
I can't believe that they have silent auctions for puppies! Was this a mill doing this or a broker?

Welcome to the forum Courtney12!
If dogs do not go to heaven, then I prefer to follow them where they go.
Welcome. So is he staying with your parents? He will miss you. Is someone home a lot. Good Luck.

Yes he will be staying with my parents and my two younger siblings so at least someone will be here at all times.
No it wasn't a puppy mill. The auctioneers called the puppies an oops from their two labs and they couldn't take care of all the puppies. They are really good people who took great care of their dogs(I know them personally) otherwise I wouldn't have gotten Buster if I wasn't sure of the overall health of the parents and puppies. I got extremely lucky with my best friend.
Thanks for the well wishes!
