    DefaultHello from Sweden

Hi! I'm new here and wanted to introduce myself. I came across this site yesterday when searching for dog names.
In six weeks we're bringing home a yellow male lab, which of course feels like for ever right now. This will be my second dog, my black lab Dave died a year ago and left a huge hole in my heart and in my life.

I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Welcome! Congrats on you new baby! I lost my black male, Ozzy, a year ago, it definitely hurts your heart! Maxx made our hearts so happy. Have you found a name for your new puppy?

Welcome to the forum, Parcae. I have a friend who is from Sweden and he says dog ownership laws are more strict there. If true I applaud them for trying to make it so pets go to good homes.

Any examples of what the law says?

Welcome to the forum! I remember what a loooong wait it was when we were waiting for Sophie to be 8 weeks old and we could bring her home! We had lost our 12 yr old fox red in May 2011, and I can relate to what you are going through. Most of us on this forum have lost a furry friend at one time or another, and understand the grief. I know how much you miss Dave. Your new puppy will help with the grief.

A couple of examples; using a crate/cage indoors is against the law, and so is tying up the dog indoors. You're allowed to tie up the dog outside but only for two hours. Many types of muzzles are forbidden and so is electric collars.

Thank you so much for welcoming me.
We haven't decided on a name yet for our puppy. We're going to visit the puppies in a couple of weeks and hopefully that will help us find a name.

I couldn't imagine having to bring up a puppy without a crate. How will you stop damage to your house ?
