Hi everyone, i am from India. I bought a lab pup last month and jus wanted to share his photo with you all. I have dewormed him and given him the first vaccination. He is due for booster this week. Your valuable suggestions and comments are welcome.
you're not taking him out all over the place without his shots, right?
Jus a couple of feet from my compound at the max two times. Apart from that he stays inside always. Is it that very dangerous
to venture without his shots? He is always biting and nibbling us particularly my children. Any suggestions on how to train?
is it just me, or does his left eye look a bit odd? It might just be reflected light but the colour looks a bit off, like his pupil is cloudy or the membrane's sticky.
Guidance over here is that puppies shouldn't be taken out for walks until two weeks after their second vaccs, though our vets organised solicalisation parties for puppies who've had their first vaccs and the floors are always scrubbed sterile before we were allowed to put them down. Having an unprotected pup going out it just asking for early heartache.
There are some posts in the training forum about the biting and nipping, along with other things which will help you raise him to be a lovely dog.
He is adorable !
When he bites you, redirect him to a chew toy.
Post more pics of him !
thank u all for the replies. Dear Watson, it is just the reflection of the flash light.
other than this it is totally normal. I will stop taking it for walk until the stipulated
time. Thanx for the tip
Very nice pup. He will be a lovely dog some day. Are there many labs in your area? Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum! Your pup is a handsome boy! The previous posters gave good advise. Don't take your pup anywhere till he's had all his shots. You can take him to a fenced yard where you are sure no unvaccinated dogs have been. You can take to friend's houses that have vaccinated dogs too. With the biting, everytime Sophie bit us, we put a hand on her muzzle and commanded DON"T BITE! It took about a month of doing this everytime, and she finally figured out what we expected and she quit nipping at us.

Thank U all once again for the valuable inputs. Today i have given him second dose of deworming syrup. He is due for his second booster shot on 25th. Will keep in mind all the inputs you have provided and update on monthly basis. Dear Campfire there are pups in my area. But to get a very good lineage we need to wait for some time. other than that it is very easy to procure one.
