Buddy is a 11 month old lab and we were wondering if the black strips on his toenails meant anything..

Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what you mean, but someone else may know. Can you post more info? What colour is your Lab (fur - yellow, chocolate, or black)? Is it on all of his toenails? Has he always had it, or did it suddenly occur? Can you post a pic? More info would be helpful.

Welcome to the forum. I am sorry but I do not know about the colour on his toenails.

Not sure. I do know in my older labs litter one pup was all black but had one toe that was white, even the nail. Sometimes that happens. Maybe if you post a picture of it someone else could help you?

Never knew how much fun a lab would be until I owned one. Can't imagine my life without them.

My lab that passed in June of last yeat had a white patch on his chest and had one toe nail on his left back paw that was white with a black line on the side. I never thought anything about it and my vet never remarked on it either. (Of course my previous vet was an asshat so I am not sure that is good or bad!)

    Don't think it means anything.

welcome OP - and I agree with the above, it's just a black mark and I don't see how it could possibly mean anything (not sure what exactly you think it could mean?)
