My name is Jeanette and of course, I Love Labs. I have two Labs at the present time..."Kate" and "Lilly." I have a website entitled, http://www.takecareofyourdog.com. You can learn how Lilly came into my life by clicking the category "Choosing Lilly." Learn about my Kate by clicking "Kates Story" and "Katiedid." Lilly is my third Lab and still so full of puppy ways and very loveable. Kate is my old woman now and is happy to just be with me, rest alot and try to control the new girl on the block, "Lilly." My first Lab, Ellen, went to the Bridge in 2009. I miss her still. You can learn about Ellen on my website by clicking "My Epi Girl" and "Last Will and Testament." I have written most of the dog stories on my website. They are a bit different from most dog stories you read. They are written from the dog's viewpoint. That is...the dogs tell their stories.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and joining in on your discussions on the forum.
Best wishes to all of you Lab Lovers.
I love the photo of Jayson and I love his name too. I'll bet he's a loveable Lab too.
Welcome!! Cute dogs I know what you mean about Lilly biting Kate. I had/have the same problem with Tank and Bentley. Bentley knows to leave Mae alone but with Tank he gets away with it by him. Now I just leave a leash on him when he comes out of his crate until he calms down. Then I take him out for some extra fetch and I also hike with him more than Tank now(Tank has bad hips and cant hike as long as he used to I miss my buddy being out there with me) Then when I bring Tank out Bentley is on a leash again for a few minutes and then let off. Tank stays near me though so if Bentley get to wild I tell him to calm. and he usually does.
Sorry for the story but just thought I would share it if you were still having troubles with it.

hi and welcome
Deidra, Thanks for your input. I love to hear ideas from others. My first Lab, Ellen, really disciplined my Kate when she was a puppy, and they became wonderful friends. Of course there was not the wide difference in age of the two as Kate and Lilly. I kinda of thought Kate would discipline Lilly like Ellen, but I suppose all dogs are different, depending on their ages, personalities, etc.
Welcome -Kate and Lilly are beautiful. Lilly looks so much like my Aila - makes me want puppies again!
Welcome Jeanette! I am reading your website as I'm typing this - I love Kate's story and I'm half way through reading Smiley's letter to his Dad and I'm in tears...
Nice stories. Welcome to the forum and hope you get lots of quality time with Katie.
