I am very new to this, have never been on a forum so I am not sure what to do
But here go's, I have five month old black lab called Gracie and she is wonderful and I love her to bits,
She full of fun and energy and keeps me on my toes, I have had labs before but they have all been males
So I am looking forward to seeing the differents between the sexes.
Bye for now
Welcome to JL
i recently got my first female as well.
she has pushed her brothers right out of the way and thinks she's in charge.
Welcome! I have had a female Lab in the past, years ago and have a female Lab/Border Collie mixx and a male Lab puppy now. I had males in between. Both my females are/were sweethearts but could be on the bossy side, lol! I love them all and there are many differences in the same sex also, I think genetics may play a big part in the temperment. I love them all!

Sometimes the hardest part isn't letting go - but learning to start over.
Thank you for your replies, gracie is very bossy little girl and she has a great character which a love, its very hard to stay mad with her when she looks at me with that face of hers, my last lab I had was a chocolate one and his name was caine but he dead last april and it broke my heart, I will never get over his death, he was the best dog I ever had, my gentle giant, I would call him my big brown bear, it brings tears to my eye thinking about him but now I hope that gracie will be able to full a little bit of that hole in my heart.
Welcome to the forum!

Hi and welcome! I have my 11 month old girl Sophie. She is a real character and keeps me young! We lost our 12 year old fox red last May and I still cry for her. I know how you feel. Your Gracie will help you. Without Sophie, my world would be much less bright. We all look forward to pictures! Where are you located?

Thank you for your reply, it's nice to know that there are dog lovers out there who understand how it feels.
Welcome. I am sorry you lost Caine.
Many of us know that devestation and we never forget them. I lost my black girl and adopted a black boy then rescued a chocolate girl. Ma Brown we call her is a bull dozer lol. Neither are bossy, but she is so clumsy she knocks him pushing him out of the way trying to get to places.
