New member here. Have had 2 wonderful labs- one a field bred, died in 2001; the second, nicknamed "Mr. Big", died this past May of an extremely
aggressive lymphoma. I can't imagine the rest of my life without a Lab, so am looking for a new pup to be my companion. No plans to show or hunt,
just planning for a companion.
Hi Welcome to the forum!
If you are looking for a breeder in your area, post in Lab Chat and indicate where you are (general - like I am in North Jersey). We'll give you some direction.
Sharon, Blaise and Diesel.
Thank you, BigBrownDog! This seems to be a wealth of information and I'm looking forward to learning from all the members here. Thanks for the welcome!
Sorry to hear about your losses, I'm sure they had a great life!
I know a few breeders around the country, don't know if you'd want to ship that are all field, some show as well. But you'll probably find more personal experiences in Lab Chat.
We lost our sweet MaGGIE IN MAY. We got our little Sophie in June. She has been such a help to us through our grief. She's a ball of energy! I had forgotten what it's like to have a puppy in the house. Maggie was 12. Glad to have you on here, and I hope you have good luck finding the right pup for you.
Sophiesmama, I'm sorry about Maggie but I'm so glad you found Sophie so quickly. I had thought of perhaps going with an
older puppy or dog but I like the idea of having our pup from the very beginning, if that makes sense. It's still hard not having
him here with me - just the changes in everyday routine are what make it so hard. A new pup won't take his place, but it
will definitely help fill the void. Thanks for the welcome, Kelsey!
welcome! I recently got my first lab in may and am in love with the breed!

I have pictures and she 1 1/2 yrs old. all up to date on everything. The only thing she needs is a loving home. My e-mail is [email protected] I don't know where you live however I would do ANYTHING to get her into a GOOD home. Jillian
