    Red faceNewbie from TX!!!

Hi, I'm Kim! My hubby and I will be bringing home our new yellow lab in a few weeks! I know you love pictures, so here is one of the litter at 6 days old! They were born April 10th.

I'm hoping our Maci is the dark little runt to the left, but will be open to whichever one has an energy level that fits our lifestyle best.

Anyway, we are super excited and hope to learn lots from being a part of this forum and to make some new friends along the way!

Thanks so much for the welcome! We just confirmed with our breeder that we'll be picking out our lab next Friday, May 27th and bringing her home the following Friday, June 3rd! We have the first female pick. YAY! I can't wait!

Tell the breeder what you are looking for and she should be able to show you the right one. i would mess with its paws and see how she (the puppy) reacts.

I completely agree with Deidra - you will not be in a position no matter what tricks you try during a short visit with the puppies to know their overall personality. The breeder should be aware at this point about the type of puppy you want (and is the best fit for your lifetslye/enviornment) and recommend the puppy (or maybe 2) that are the best fit, as they spend 8 weeks with the puppies and know them best.

Remember that the one that looks lazy/sleepy may have had a big morning and is just tired - but may in fact be the most energetic puppy overall.
