Welcome Susan and Bella from Caleb & me (Sue)!
thank you for the info oh how do i get my profile pic on here?
never mind i figured it out lol.
Welcome! With the digging how much physical/mental exercise to you give her?
~It doesn't matter how smart the dog is,it matters how smart the owner is.
she is outside alot and our yard is pretty big, her and her friend here play all day long they have tug ropes to play with and we throw tenis balls for them to they did have frisbees but she ate them loland we take her out to a place where she can run so she does get lots of exercise.
My two aren't really diggers so I have no experience with that, but I did see someone once say to bury their poop where they dig and that will deter them from digging in that spot.
It's a tough life.....but someone has to do it.

Welcome... My pup os almost 7 months and he's starting to dig too. I left him outside saturday on a long lead while I cleaned and he dug his bone in my flower bed. Ruined it!! I don't have an answer for you b/c when I scold my pup he throws temper tantrums.

"A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn't care if your rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he'll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?"- John Grogan
Typically, dogs left to their own devises in a yard unsupervised will dig. Dogs dig, so you can stop it by supervising and telling the dog NO when you catch them doing the unwanted behavior...same training for just about anything with your dog.
