Hi everyone. Found this site the other day while looking for training tips and I figured it would be useful to have an account. I just adopted an 8 week old puppy from a shelter. They said he was a Lab mix, but he looks pretty much all Lab to me. Either way, doesn't matter. They apparently had a whole litter dropped off and had been taking care of them for a week or so so my little guy is going through some separation anxiety I guess. He's crying a lot when he isn't sleeping. Other than that everything is great.
I do need some help with him in the crate at night though. What should I do about him crying? Just ignore him and let him cry himself out or should I comfort him and pet him? I can do either one, I just wanted to know what the best way to go is. Thanks for any info. This site looks like a nice place to get advice!
