I'm new to this forum and came across it while searching up information on my new lab mix. She's quite the handful at almost 3 months old but she's a joy to have for myself and my boyfriend. She knows how to sit, will give us her paw on command (she'll expect food, after though) and she knows not to beg and jump around when she sees food. My only problem is that since she's a lab/beagle mix, I'm wondering how big she'll get. I've read and compared both breeds, but I'd like to hear stories from firsthand experiences. We have no problem with big dogs, we're just curious on how big she'll grow in the near future. She's almost 3 months on the 20th, and on our vet visit last week, she's barely almost 4 lbs.
Also, please don't tell me mutts are "bad" or unpredictable. I love all dogs the same, and I'm hoping for any advice other dog lovers can give me (: Thank you!
She's a doll!
IMO mutts are great!!
Welcome she is so cute its so hard to say how big she will get but we are glad your with us.
Welcome! She is adorable. If you look at the paws you can get an estimate. If they are big it will be a good sized dog if they are small she will be the size of a beagle.
~It doesn't matter how smart the dog is,it matters how smart the owner is.
hard to tell her size as she can go either way or just be a big sized beagle or a small sized lab. but she sure is cute.
Thanks everyone! I'm looking forward to reading more about other lab lovers and getting more advice on this forum
I have a friend that has a Lab beagle mix. He's definitely inherited the Lab personality because he's a complete stinker and adorable. I think she said he weighs around 45 pounds, but you never know with mixes. She could end up being a 70 pound lab/beagle mix, or a 30 pound lab/beagle mix.
Whatever she ends up looking like in terms of size, she is 100% adorable!
If she's 4 lbs at 3 months she is not going to be a big dog. She's a cutie! Welcome.
