    DefaultMonique and Diesel

Hi my name is Monique and I am new to this forum. I have a 14 week old choco lab and he is a mess. I hope to get advice from experienced lab owners and pray that there is hope for little Diesel!!!

I enrolled Diesel in the Petsmart 8 week puppy education course. So far he knows how to "sit", "watch" and "shake" but I am having trouble with the loose leash walking.

Welcome! Diesel is very cute, but why do you think he's a mess? He's only 14 weeks old? He's a baby. I wouldn't expect a 14 wk old puppy to walk that well on a leash yet. Check out the training section, there's lots of good tips there!

don't worry, he's young yet. when you walk him, just walk, you are in control and eventually he will get the message to follow. make it a fun time.

Welcome! I have a 5 month old black lab, and I found the best way to train him to walk on the leash was to just walk with him and give him treats - his favorite training treats are the Little Jacs liver treats. Positive reinforcement works very well!
