    DefaultQAA now

For those that do not know QAA means Qualified All Age and is a designation that your dog gets when it gets a 1st or 2nd place in a Qualifying stake (or a placement in an Open Stake). The 4 stakes in a field trial are Derby (limited to retrievers under 2 years old).. Qualifying open to any retriever and Qualifys them to enter limited Opens..Amatuer for dogs run by amatuers and.. Open for dogs run by pros or anyone. the last two are where AFC (amateur field champions) and FC (Field Champions) come from.

It is a big deal for some of us to get our dogs Qualified All Age
Light, "weedy" individuals are definitely incorrect; equally objectionable are cloddy lumbering specimens. Labrador Retrievers shall be shown in working condition well-muscled and without excess fat. Females should weigh between 55 and 70lbs and Males between 65 and 80lbs. Height females 21.5 to 23.5 inches males 22.5 to 24.5 inches at the withers.

Had no clue. New to all this with our first Lab. Definitely a big deal for your dogs. Had the opportunity to see video of some field training. Just amazing to watch the team work together. Definitely have to do some research to find out where we can go observe. Would love to see this in person.

Wishing you and all the dogs that QAA the best!
