Last night at class, someone asked me if I'd be interested in an All Breed Fun Match. We were both thinking obedience, btw. I sat down and looked at the entry form today, and got a crazy idea to enter Caleb in conformation, too. Now, last fall I was tossing around the idea, but kind of "chickened out". I'm not sure he's conformation material (maybe I talked myself out of it?). Anyway- being that it's just a fun match, what's your opinions? Would more serious people be offended? Oh, I've worked a little with him on stacking, and, for what it's worth, I did some breed handling classes with a Rott and a Bullmastiff.
BTW- we didn't get Caleb with conformation in mind.
A match is fun, I'd say GO FOR IT. Why not enter in conformation? Heck, I put Maddy in conformation as a wee pup, and she was the gangliest little field bred bitch in the lot of them...OH MY...but who cares.
It's always good ring experience no matter what you enter. I dragged Remington into the 3-6 month puppy dog class when he was 3 months old just to get him in the ring. We took third place, but he was the best behaved on the leash
