Please give me your oppinions on this 2 year old male.
I will show him this summer and fall. He will come to live with
us for about 8 months. He presently lives in France.
please tell me what you think of him, what are his good points and
sorry for the quallity of the pictures.
picture at 2 years
Honestly I thought he was a Golden Retriever looking at the side on shot of his head!!! He's a bit long in the muzzle. It looks nice front on though.
If this dog is coming to live with you regardless for whatever reason he is probably going to be okay to take into the ring for fun. I certainly wouldn't be importing him to show. I think he is lacking in back and front end. I think he will come together more with maturity but I doubt that these faults will change.
A different picture might show things up better - do you have any others?
I thought I already posted on this topic?
Anywho, (like Sharon) I tend to fault judge.
His front is very straight, almost terrier, and I have never seen that before, but all in all, he matches his lack of rear angulation. He is very long and straight in the second thigh.
His ear set looks low on the side shot, but on the second shot, its not bad. I'd like more bone, and from the photos, a bit more coat. His croup also slopes, giving him the impression of a sloping topline.
Head looks like a golden to me too with that ear set in the side shot ???
Honestly, there's not toooooo much to like. Expression is pleasing, very short upper arm and steep shoulders, could carry more coat, low tail set, lacking second thigh and butt. His ears are sitting right on top of his elbows and he is very long backed because of his very incorrect front assembly.
Good points...decent tail and short coupled, good pigment, kind expression, good eye shape and colour and good ear set if he will keep them up for you. Personally, I would call this a pet quality dog...but I guess if you were selective in your shows and judges he might do something. Judges do like yellows

I don't have other pictures of him, and after seing your oppinions
I got discouraged that he will not do such a great job in the ring,
and renounced at the idea of showing him for 8 to 10 months.
It would have been a big investment.
