First let me apologize for disappearing all the time. Things have been so crazy that my time is limited so I haven't posted here much. In fact, I checked my history and before today my last posts were in February.
Am I allowed to come back?? ;D
I wanted to post some pictures and news that has happened lately.
Asher now has 6 points on him. We had a good April. He won
4/1/07 - WD/BW Mrs Dorothy O Hutchinson
4/21/07 - WD/BOB Mrs Denys Janssen
4/22/07 - WD/OS Mrs Karen Martin
He won 2nd in a large BBE class at the Florida Specialty under Lisa Weiss Nolchek
I don't have any new pictures of him since his breeder/my co-owner has him right now.
Dan won two 3 pt majors under David McIntyre and Pete Dawkins.
I also don't have any new pictures of him, but I do have new pictures of his latest litter. Melissa has also posted them so they may look familiar. There were two in the litter. BM and YF.
Reuben made his big show debut last month and got RWD both days in Harrison, AR. Woo Hoo.
(I probably shouldn't mention that there were only 2 dogs there...but I would hate to deceive.)
RWD sounds better than dead last both days.
I do have recent pictures of him at 22 months:
Leo is looking for majors. I do not want to send him to his breeder or away with a handler because I have put his points on him and I want to finish him myself, but the last few shows I've travelled to because they usually pull majors broke on me. Four of his points were in shows with major entries that broke by one or two dogs, so I know I can do it when the time is right.
To add another crinkle to the saga, I took him to the vet for a limp to find that the cartilage in his shoulder has been torn. The vet is optimistic that a little crate rest will fix him up good as new. It's only been a week and he is already moving without a limp so I do think he'll be show ready soon. Our vet would like me to rest him for 6-8 weeks and then evaluate him again, so we'll wait until the shows in summer and fall. Please cross your fingers for us.
Sorry this post was so long. I will try to visit more frequently. You know. Take my shoes off and stay awhile.
Hey Page! Good to see you back. I've been away for a while too. Had a couple of pups to take care of. LOL Congrats on your recent wins, and your boy is looking really good.
I've been wondering about you.
Hopefully Leo will be well enough to hit all of the shows in TX that usually draw majors. Maybe I'll see you there.
Congratulations on Asher, Dan, and Reuben!!! I can't believe how mature Reuben has gotten! He looks fantastic!
Sorry to hear about Leo...I hope that rest does the trick for him. Poor baby.
Anyhow, glad you have you back, and I hope you'll post some win photos of Asher, too? I would love to see how he's turning out.
