She has been working on free baiting, gaiting, and hand stacking Wigeon. She desperately wants to show her. I think she might be okay for a match this spring. She is only 5 so I dont think she can handle her if she is too strong - Widge can get quite "happy" when Mackenzie is working with her. Well we will see maybe she will get better at settling her down. I'll bring them to a match and see how she does walking around at first and I just had a thought that Mackenzie could start out with Scout - she's super easy and will stand for hours.
just do it...after all, its all about just having fun!
Very cute! I had an 8 or 9 yr old junior show Darwin at a show this summer and he did a great job! It's so cool to watch the dogs respond to the youngsters
awwww How adorable. I guess you are not going to the Match tomorrow are you? Beth Volle is judging. I think until MacKensie is old enough for aged classes it might be tough for her. She is so well spoken and so tall it makes it easy to forget she is only 5. I sure do hope to see her at a match soon. We can Leak to the steward that she is younger than she appears..lol
BTW how is the backpack holding up?
She looks like a pro! (I think UKC has classes for young junior handlers that let the parents in the ring to help out if needed...might be a place to start
Now THAT'S cute. Wish I had gotten to showing at that age.
She's doing a great job! I hope she'll get a chance to show Widgeon.
How cute is that?
Ruby has been in the ring with several juniors and she LOVES it...they look so admiring when the little gaffers tell them what to do, its so cute!
She looks great Sharon, they both do!

Sharon, who would dare not put up such a precious child with her dog. Go for it.
