    DefaultDogs at the Beach

We are moving from the East Coast to the West Coast, so my husband thought he would take the dogs for a swim in the ocean here so they can swim in both oceans.
I bravely shot pictures from the shore while he swam with the dogs*

Great pictures Dana. Everyone looks like they are having a blast. Vancouver eh? Isn't that where next year's specialty will be hosted?

    Vancouver, BC or Vancouver, WA?

I love the Pacific NW either way- gorgeous, with lot of undeveloped land still, tons of water, forests, and green, green, green! ;D I would be up there in a heartbeat. Sure beats the traffic, smog, smoke (due to the ever-burning "Day Fire" going on for 3+wks now), house/land prices, and poisonous critters (snakes, spiders, scorpions) of the Los Angeles area. I miss seeing the snow-capped mountains and going to play in rivers that aren't in fenced-in, concrete-lined ditches. I'm jealous...can you tell?

Beautiful photos of beautiful dogs! I agree- your hubby is brrrrrr-ave! LOL

Well, sadly you just described Vancouver, BC to a tee. We are trying to live in a small town outside, but the traffic is so congested, my husband will have to make the commute a few days before we can make an offer on the house. To get enough property for the dogs, and enough country air for me, he may have to commute an hour and a half each way.
Yes, the LRC is out our way next year...sleeping arrangements available to the first three takers ;D
No more driving to the LOC...no way in he!! will I be making that drive :P

Wow...I grew up just outside of Seattle, and only remember a few days where there was much smog... the traffic, yes- in the cities especially with the bridges, but definitely still lower housing/land prices than Los Angeles (my family now lives in Bellevue, WA and I get up there to visit fairly often- maybe one day I'll get to meet you at a show up there!) and right now even better with the housing prices starting to go down. I don't remember anything poisonous to really have to worry about when out with the dogs, either, like rattlesnakes and scorpions and the like...just bears/cougars and that type of thing. I suppose perhaps I'm just an optimist...I think it will be great fun for you and the dogs! Good luck!

Did you think about perhaps trying out the area around Bellingham, WA? Lots of people commute from there to Vancouver, and it is a nice college town on the water.

The pics are great! I especially love the one where they are following SU in to the water. They all look so happy! Good luck with your move.
