DefaultWe just got Monty's placement photo in the mail today...

from the LRCSC specialty. We were away from home (on vacation) this past week, so it was a good surprise to see it waiting for us when we got back!

This was his 2nd place 6-9 month puppy placement under Mrs. Carole Coode... we didn't have a photo taken of his 4th place the day before. He was such a good boy, and did quite well for being just over 6 months old! I was proud of him.

I cropped yours truly out...it isn't a very good picture of me, and since these are mostly about the dog anyhow, it was more important to post him!

By the way, I don't have a clue why I was holding his slip lead like that... and down around his legs! Sheesh! LOL

Lovely photo of Monty, Julie. For me, the slip lead is no problem - it's not cutting his neck in two, nor is it bunching up his topline. Everything clean and all the various parts where they should be. Atta boy, Monty! :-*

Nah... don't want to break everyone's monitors.

Thanks for all of the compliments, though! I'm really amazed at how mature Monty seems to be looking for his age. He was blowing his puppy coat and getting a bit high in the rear when I left on vacation (he is staying with my show friend/mentor for the week) last Sunday, and I get to pick him back up today sometime. I can't wait to see him (just to see him, but also to see how he's changed)!

They are so much fun to watch grow. It is amazing to watch all of the little changes that occur. One of these days, I'll have to get all of the monthly semi-stacked photos I have of him from 7 wks (breeder), and then 2-3 months.

Great picture and I agree, let's see the entire thing! Would love to see a picture too where he shows off what appears to be a good tailset with a waggy tail

He's very well put together for that age.

Believe me, I've tried!* (sigh)* This photo was with squeeker toys and everything!* I've basically all but given up.* He holds his tail basically straight out when gaiting, but have you ever seen just a very, very intent/serious dog?* He does clownish things around the house just to see what we'll do, even without wagging his tail.* It is pretty funny watching us at least a few hours of each day trying to get him to wag and giving him all sorts of praise/treats (only to have him put his tail down and stare intensely when the treats come about), and just part of Monty, I guess.** I guess his mom is like that, too.
