    DefaultOpinion - Pics

Hello - never ventured in here before!

Whenever I take Zack out we get lots of compliments but a few days ago we were at the vets and a man stopped and said how handsome he is etc, then told me if I didn't already I should look at showing him. Turns out he is a KC judge. Anyway, I just wanted some opinions off you folks here - this is the best photo I could get mid-play session!

not a pro but if YOU can get closer to the ground so camera is at dog level (rather than pointing down) it allows those who know to better evaluate. Take a look a conformation photos to see position of the dog.

I'm not good at this so I say: Talk to your breeder and see what he/she says.

Not to be unkind, but I don't think he would make it at AKC trials -he is a nice looking dog, but doesn't appear conformation show quality to me.

We're in the UK, if that makes any difference. Thank you for replying though, he isn't the 'chunky'/stocky look that a lot of judges seem to go for, but after the judge at the vets, I thought I'd ask

Again, it's pretty hard to judge, but from THAT picture, he doesn't have a good top-line or tail set. He lacks a good second thigh and he seems to be straight in the shoulders. His head shot doesn't really show a soft expression, so, that is also hard to judge. His tail seems to be a little longer than most and doesn't appear to have a wrapped otter-tail. Again, hard to judge without seeing a properly stacked photo. Get the camera at the dogs level. From these pictures, I would say NO, he's not conformation quality in both the UK or the USA.
