    DefaultNew Champion!

My "little" Rogue-ster went RWD on Saturday under Barb Nowak and then BOW/WD under Clare Senfield (Allegheny Labradors) on Sunday to finish his championship with his 3rd major/2nd specialty WD/BOW, all owner-handled (me!)!
Rogue (aka Rogaine, Rogurt, Rogie-bear, etc etc etc) is now CH Laurglen Ardent Rogue at Hyspire.

This was especially sweet as the big trophy he won was one that my friend Veronica Karr (Annight Labradors, whose boy Hemi, CH Blue Knight Xtreme RPM, took Best Veteran on Sunday!) and I donated back at the very first HDLRC Specialty- it is the Annight-Montview Challenge Trophy for Winners Dog, and has a crystal topper that is a laser-engraved headshot portrait of her Hemi and my Monty (9 months old at the time).

I also took Monty in the ring for Hunting Retriever for the first time in the ring I think since Westminster 2009- he had an absolute blast! He was Best Hunting Retriever by default since he was the only dog entered, but he had a ball in the breed ring, too! I had a dear friend take him in Breed so I could stay on Rogue on Sunday- She did a wonderful job. Man, that boy LOVES to move out! That was fun, too, since his breeder Leslie Plank (Forestwood Labradors) was judging sweeps on Saturday and got to watch him back in the ring both days... We even got together for a photo with his big trophy on Sunday!

Thank you so much for letting me share! I'm so excited!!!

I just realized that I forgot to thank everyone for sharing in my excitement and for your congratulations!!!

It really was the type of weekend that dreams are made of. I have a few more goals for all of us, now... conformation goals for Rogue (a couple in particular, neither of which involves a GCH though we'll keep showing and see if we can do that) as well as performance goals for both Rogue and Monty (and ME)!

I know there has to be more good news from members our there, though- anyone up for some new posts?
