 For the 17th straight year the Labrador Retriever ranks as the most registered dog breed in America. The 2007 AKC registration figures show that Labs beat out Yorkshire Terriers by a wide margin. This isn't necessarily true on a city by city basis, where Yorkies are found to be more popular in places like Orlando, Florida.
