Can someone help me please....
Harlee has been to the vet twice and has had 3 fecals, and two perscriptions. The first one was to treat serveral types of worms and the second one is for collitis. She is still having blood in her stool at least two of her poops is mucus (with blood). The fecals keep coming back negative, I called the vet today and I was kinda nasty because i am frustrated. The vet herself called me back tonight and said maybe it was Coccidia.
Anyone been through this before? I am taking her back tomorrow for the third time.

My neighbor had a problem w/ their mini pincher a couple weeks ago. She also had bloody stool. I don't know all the details but it completely stumped her vet and the local animal hospital.
Samples were sent out to UC Davis and now they have their dog back. I'm sorry it's not too much information but I'll ask them tomorrow what it was diagnosed as.
I'll also get the symptoms and the treatment as well.
Molly is all right and my Lucky Dog is waiting to romp around with her again. I'll post what I know tomorrow!
Another negative fecal...anyone have any ideas at all?
Could you look for a second opinion. Maybe try another vet and they may come up with something. Sorry I have no other advice to add. Hope he feel better soon.
seconding the second opinion suggestion... are you close to a vet college?
No, I am not close to a vet college, but there are plenty of other vets I can try. This is so frustrating, she told me this morning to continue on with the second perscription and to call her on Saturday and they would see how things are. Well I know already this is not working.
They also did a rectal examine today and that was fine as well. The vet did tell me that Coccidia and some other parasites do not show up on all fecals...but she has already had 3!
Energy level and eating is fine, so I think she is feeling ok but this is so frustrating!
Have you changed her food recently or anything like that? Maybe it's food related?
On June 28th the vet put her on a bland diet (soft food from the vet), prior to that she was on the food from the breeder.
I think it sounds like coccidia, could the vet put her on the meds for coccidia just in case?

Once she is finished this perscription she is going to put her on for coccidia. If it was coccidia...wouldnt it have showed up by now?
