Hello all , we are new to this but would love to share our experiences and gain advice from others who love Labradors.
my husband and i are proud owners of two yellow Labradors , Marley aged 2 and 1/2and Digger 12 weeks .

we re homed Marley our first Labrador when his previous owners had to leave the country due to work and could no longer keep him , he was 18 months old at the time and a bit of a handful , but we managed to get him to love us as much as we love him and now would not be with out him. we always said that it was a shame we didn't have Marley from a pup as we missed so much of his development so decided to extend our dog family and get a puppy . I read an add on the internet that someone had a yellow lab pup for sale so decided to go and see him, when we arrived at the house it was very clear that he was unwell, he was living in a crate with 5 other dogs all of different breeds and all seemed alot bigger and stronger than he did . after making the decision that he needed help and a good home i took him home to meet my husband .
the following day i took him to the vets as he had a very swollen tummy and could hardly sit down and was very out of breath, the vet examined him and told me that he had a very bad case of worms which was causing him to be bloated, we treated this straight away and i took him home, the following day i noticed that he had been scratching his ears alot and was very uncomfortable generally so called the vet back and arranged a second visit , after the vet looked him over he said that the poor pup had an ear infection and a bacterial skin condition too , i collected the prescription for his ears and skin and took him home. he has come on so well in the past few days with a change of diet and loves the company from Marley too i am sure they will be the best of friends. I wish i could have re homed all the other pups there as i have worried about there safty since but you can only do so much .
I am looking forward to reading other peoples story's on here .

WelcomeThat is a heart breaking story about those poor mistreated puppies! I wish they could be reported to the SPCA.... I wonder if they would do anything? I am thankful you have given your babies such a good home! It is curious that these people had various breeds of puppies together. It makes me wonder how and where they got them. There are so many unscrupulous people out there!
How much does Digger weigh? Is his growth normal according to the vet? How long have you had him? I look forward to seeing pictures!!
