Default puppy that is scared of everything!!

I know this is a lab forum and Iv been posting a lot about yagor(aka the dude) the rottweiler pup but I'v run into more trouble with him. He is scared of EVERYTHING! I mean everything. Examples: over hang on a porch,a barking dog,a flag, wind chimes, the angel on the top of the tree, loud kids(which is bad since there are always kids at my grandparents) It is not his fault. He was kept in a crate most of his life and my uncle did not give a rats *** about what would happen to him mentally and physically. I was walking him yesterday and a dog barked and he froze so I grabbed a treat out of my pocket and put it by his nose and it was like he realized oh im on a walk. So he followed and I gave him the treat. Then a little bit later he heard wind chimes and he froze again so i did the same thing I did with the treats. This morning I put him out on hsi chain to go potty and he saw the over hang on the garage and he was so scared he peed! so I had to grab the chain and tank him into the yard and then he was fine.

Yesterday was my brother birthday party and he freaked out the whole time we were there. If anyone tried to pet him he came running back to me and hid behind me. my cousin tried to get in his face and he snapped. Well that I understood but I did give a quick correction. Then I told my cousin you NEVER get in a dogs face! My mom and uncle wanted to pet him and he did the same thing. He also has some kennel sores on his butt and I said do NOT touch him there and they didn't but if they would get near his Butt he freaked. I am taking him over C-mas break and I have aloud house. He knows me and my sister real well so i'm hoping it will help him. I took him out in the yard to play with the boys and he was completely fine. he didn't really know how to play but Bentley taught him how to "box",lol. He also tried to dominate Tank but Tank gave a snap and he didn't try again. Do you think if he is around my trio long enough he will know nothing will hurt him? He is very similar to how Tank was. The only difference is the little things he s scared of.

How old is he? Poor thing, it's tough to be afraid all the time. Maybe you can build up his confidence with some 1:1 training with sit, stay, tricks, etc. I'd worry a bit about being overly fearful, since the natural response to fear is snapping, biting, etc. Hopefully, being around your dogs will help him learn to play and realize that not everything is scary!

he is only 6 months old! He is adorable so everyone wants to pet him but I have to say no since I dont know what he will do. the first three lines you can kind of get what he went through since there are those kind of people My uncle just gave me another reason to dislike him more!

Here he is now and you will see why everyone wants to pet him

He is a good dog but just a scared dog. Right now he is sitting by me on the couch chewing a stuffy. He already knows what are his toys and what isn't. So he is very smart. Thats why I hope he catches onto my dogs and how they are(the only thing is Bentley's "games"he likes to play I dont think my grandparents want him to know, lol)

sounds like wayyy too much wayyy too soon. you are going to have to take baby steps and that means leaving him at home for these types of events (or putting him in a room alone). People don't GET IT when you explain tot hemt eh dog is fearful and will try to get them to be their friend, and usually all the human motions are bad (lean over top the dog, hand towards the dog, look straight at the dog - all these are offensive body languages!).

Poor little guy... Just take it really slow with him. Too much too soon will freak him out for sure!

I know baby steps. It has been so long since i have had to re-train tank that i am having to jog my memory. Also with the kennel sores do you think over time they will heal or does he need anti-biotics? once my grandpas check comes in they plan on takin him to the vet for a check-up. How do I teach him a over hang or wind chimes will not harm him. Do i keep doing what i was doing with the treats or do somerthing different?
