    Default feeding? please help

so Lion is almost 5months , on his way there
    hes only weighing 20~25 lbs

i stopped feeding him 3times and went to 2 when he turned 4 months

his baby teeth were falling out coincidentally and he was having dhiarrea and what not! i thought it was because of the food didnt know if the teeth had naything to do with it!

after a front row and a bottom row he is back to biting and pooping like a champ!

he does get sad and hungry and i feel bad about the food, should i stick to feeding him 3 times a day untill 6months? too many people told me i needed to get him on a 1/1 schedule but i see it is not working

please give me some help, i want puppy to grow strong not frail

some pictures are up in the pic forum too check him out, new ones for you guys soon

what are you feeding? That is tiny for a 5 month old. how much are you feeding? Has been wormed? Vet checked? 2 times is fine as long as he's getting enough food and is worm/parasite free.

Boy, he's really small for 5 months. The vet told me that a lab should weigh at least 2 lbs per week they are old. Males a little more. I would get your pup checked by a vet and I would feed him more. You said you are feeding 2 times a day, but you didn't say how much he is eating. I think if he's only 20 to 25 lbs, I'd feed him 3 times a day. What kind of food do you have him on? My girl was 50 lbs at 5 months and now she is 6 1/2 months and weighs 60 lbs. Have you made sure he has been wormed? The puppy wormer that we got when Sophie was little, the banana stuff you squirt in the mouth, doesn't kill tape worms. We had to re-worm her last month with verbantel to get the tape worms too.

he is 4.5 months old dont get me wrong hes like heavier by the day.

i got him dewormed, his 2 sets of vacines, going for the 16week ones today

im not sure. he had the dihareea when the teeth were falling out and i dont know whats what. im going to ask the people at the petsupermarket but i really have no clue. he doesnt look skinny but hes not looking lean muscular. he looks like hes growing into his body.

ill weigh him atp ublix today

should i give him food 2 or 3 times a day? what is better for a puppy of his age. i see he gets hungry and sees me eat and thinks i forgot about him but i just want him to be happy and full

I would feed him 3 times a day for awhile. What does your vet say about his weight? What kind of food are you feeding him?

He looks small to me also. My puppy who is now 15 weeks old weighed 29.6 lbs at his last check up which was 4 weeks ago this Saturday. Maxx goes back for 3rd set of shots on this Saturday so I will know what he currently weighs then. I know that I can not pick him up...
You have not mentioned what type of food or the amount you are feeding your puppy, if you don't mind giving that information on these 2 very important things it would help a lot. You should also ask your vet for guidance on this, he is in the best position to advise you. It seems to me that most Labs will act like they are starving to death even if they have just finished their own food. Mine would eat until they exploded, if allowed. They always play the "pitiful, starving to death act" to perfection when ever someone is eating. I do not allow my dogs any people food other than the veggies and broiled chicken that I add to their dry kibble, they eventually get over themselves, usually once the food is gone!!
I hope your vet visit went well today and your vet was able to put your mind at ease.

What did he weigh at his visit to the vet and what did your vet say regarding his growth? It is hard to tell by the picture you posted. Are you talking about Blue Buffalo food? Maxx also eats 1 1/2 cups 2 times daily but he does not eat the food your dog eats so the amounts could be different. He is such a handsome guy, I love those big feet and and the way he is looking at you!

when i went to the vet months ago they said he was 7weeks 8lbs and healthy. he should get to 60+lb

he had skin condition and was given some pills, he was wormed at humane society, at vet, then by me again and then again at his 12week puppy shots and again at his 16week

yeah its blue buffallo food or whatever that blue triangle that says blue is

ive been thinking i should of got the iams or science diet food again, i dont think the large puppy breed is anything better than puppy, i think what people are saying about the large breed food is right.

maybe someone cang give me some suggesstions, his 40lb bag of food is almost done id like to get him something good without buying all the foods in the pet store to find out.

    i hope you enjoy
