well its been a week since i picked my new puppy up and wow what a week! hes sooo cute and im amazed how fast he learns, house training is going very well , he gets on well with my rabbits and cats, the only problem i seem to have is my older dog although they get on an snuggle together to sleep, when the puppy is awake and having a mad half hour he nips and harrases her and trys to mount her! is this a normal behaviour? hes only 10 weeks old and my greyhound x bitch is 14 years old! shes neutered and hates the attention so she snaps at the puppy but he just barks at her??
Your puppy is just being a puppy. Snapping at the pup is a warning but I would try and grab the pup when he is being a PITA and redirect him so your senior can have some peace.

iv started to redirect his attention when hes doing it and that seems to work so hopefully hes learning, the one thing iv noticed about labs is how fast they learn!, shes snapped a couple of times an he got the message!
They are really smart! Our lab will harrass our 15 yr old toy poodle. When she has enough, she snaps at Sophie. She really has her bluff out on Sophie! She bosses her around, and she's 12 lbs and Sophie is 60!
