Default when to start training what is too young

Hi I just picked up a Rescued Lab/Cane Corso puppy 7 1/2 weeks. Moe - he was rescued by a lab rescue group extremely young as he was abandoned. He is getting along great with my 10 year old Lab. As my 10 year old was 12 weeks I had her I am not sure what my little guy can do.

I've started positive training for outdoor potty - I think he has me trained every 45 min

How long can 7 week old puppies can be expected to hold their pee or is it pretty much as they need to until they are bit older?

Are they capable of learning some easy training like "sit" ect. Or should I wait a while?

He is very sweet at this age.

Will be a big guy so want to make sure he is a good trained puppy

    Thanks,

    Karen

    train him!!!!
the more you can teach him now the more youll love it

i rescued my lab at 6.5 weeks and i wish i didn't leave him "lingering" and "playting by himself"... humane society advice since he had been neutered... and me being stupid i listened to the same people who couldnt do simple paperwork which cost my lab his sister.

if i would of trained him to sit and possibly not to bite or ANYthing else it would of helped afterwards

dont get me wrong , he is young, but i learned from mistake, this is my first lab and i see how smart they can be.

your little guy cant hold his pee in but hell be able to in a few weeks.
i listened to some helpful folks here, give him only a special treat he never gets when hes peeing outside and hell be dying to go out

badside - my lab knows he gets that treat when hes outside and when bored he just jumps at the leasch on the door as if he NEEDS to go but wants after taking him out 10+times a day i cant just do what the dog wants !

tl;dr - (too long didnt read) train a few things it will help, he cant hold pee, hell hold pee/ ask to go out if u start giving him awesome treat as soon as he finishes peeing
