Default What are your mornings like?

I usually like to get up at 6 although if I get up at 5 I'll feed the cat, make coffee in a dark house and leave Spike in his crate until 6. Once he's out he gets a good scratching for about 5 minutes goes out, gets fed, a crunchy bone type thing and then steals things or torments the cat because he's bored. Meanwhile I'm trying to get through my first cup of coffee. If it's a weekday he may go in to daycare at 7:30. Weekends and non daycare days he goes for a walk - or like yesterday, 2. If Bill is home (he's visiting mom this weekend) we'll alternate on the walks or if I'm lucky he'll take two days in a row I don't think he expects either he's just a puppy with puppy energy. What is your morning like?

    Love your siggy pic.

It used to be as soon as the alarm went off Erns would start. First it is snorting...then if i don't wake noise gets louder untli he barks to wake me.If this doesn't wake me he gets on top of me pulliing my pillow off in between the barks. I like to wake and lie awake for a few moments, but the moment my eyes are open he pulls the blankets off. By then I am saying go to sleep...it is 5am...go to sleep. He stand on me barking in my ear...I get up. Tess jumps on me.

I feed them first, get coffee ready while I shower, then put a load of washing on, drink cold coffee, have cereal, put washing in dryer or on line, or other chore, grab something for lunch, then pack whatever I need for which ever dog/dogs I am taking and go to work.
If there isn't any chores I might come in here while I eat breakfast.
Weekends the same chores, have a second coffee and spend too much time in here.

I usually sleep on the sofa, due to very loud snoring in the bedroom. Bean will put his head on mine around 8 or 9 AM, and I cover my face with the blanket. I'll hear him jump into the recliner, but 15 minutes later, it's a repeat. I finally get up, feed him and the cat, then have coffee. Bean sniffs my clothes as I dress, checking to see if they're "river" clothes. Lately with all the rain, he seems disappointed when I shower first, then put on "clean" clothes. That means no run in the river today .
Nine AM may seem late for a 5 or 6 person, but we don't usually go to sleep until about 2 AM, LOL. I'm not a morning person!

alarm goes off at 5:45...up by 6, get 15 year old son moving toward shower...downstairs to let Artemis out...she comes back in, pour food and water in her bowl and drop toy on top to slow her down...run a cup of coffee up to DH (if coffee was set-up the night before and we remembered to push the delay start button)...let Artemis back out...play with her for a few minutes...go push 15 year old to finish getting ready...if he's on task and DH has gotten up we may get a mile walk in with Artemis before someone has to run boy to school at 6:55 (less than 10 min round-trip)...if no walk before we try to get one after boy is delivered but before round 2 of kids gets started when daughter (12) has to get up at 7:45...my kids' schools start a full 2 hours off sequence from each other this year...if I'm not on daughter-delivery detail I try to leave the house by 8 for work...otherwise we leave about 8:45 (can get a longer walk on these days!)

By the time I get to work I frequently feel like the day is 1/2 over!

We are retired people. So we have a relaxed schedule. I usually go to bed about 2 am and read till about 3am. I sleep till about 11am. Sophie sleeps right through till one of us gets up. She goes outside to potty. She has breakfast, and as soon as she is done, she finds her leash and you'll see her at the door with each end hanging out of her mouth, (so cute!). She gets her morning walk, and comes in and lays around till she feels like terrorizing the backyard, or chasing Libby the cat. She tried chasing Luigi the cat, but he wasn't having any of it so she doesn't bother with him anymore. Sophie is a lazy girl and likes lots of naps. My husband recently had rotator cuff surgery, and everytime he naps...so does Soph!

They switched times around here this year - high school used to start at 7:30 and now they have it starting at 8:30. We drive our son too - it's either leave the house 10 minutes before school starts or have him waiting for a bus to sit on it for 1/2 hour.

Get up at 5:30, let Nibbs out of his crate and get the wiggle treatment (he is only 17 weeks old). Take him outside to go pee and or poo. Go inside and make coffee (latte these days since by brother and sis in law bought me a machine.) Play around with Nibbs or let him chew a chew bone in my lap until 6 am and then feed him. Have a bit of quiet time with coffee and news on tv, take Nibbs out for a walk. Back in the house for shower and put on work cloths. Put a bit of peanut butter on a kong and have him go into his crate, off to work at about 7:25am.
