i will upload some pictures soon!
three of these lab pups were at the humane society, i tried to adopt him and 1 of his sisters.
I only got him and he was at 6weeks, i know this is young, but thats obvious.
he as well was neutured as every animal from a humane society in florida must be spayed/neutered.
he has been doing good for the past week, he is growing, eating well, knows how to sit , come , his name... he doesnt know No yet and he has no idea how much his bite hurts! sometimes it feels worse by the day.
he poops and pees outside even though i dont like takng him since he doesnt have all his shots, also i feel so bad seeng him walk on concrete with his soft paws sometimes
i yell ouch, run away, lick myself, but i guess time is the bigger factor in this or i am missing out some good info!
ive tried to read alot about these pups and what i need to do except when i ask for tips people dont point me in the right direction!
ill upload some pics of my pup soon, please give me some advice.
i know he is young but i want to start training him early. im looking for advice on HOW to teach new tricks and what to do, i know i have to reward him and it has to be short sessions but i guess this sometimes is too much to ask
nice to meet you all and talk to you soon!!
Welcome! I think you can't post pictures till you've done six posts. There is lots of info on this Website about puppy biting, so you can search for that. A general rule is that if puppy bites, you immediately ignore him - no more play. Also, you can put something unpleasant-tasting on your fingers, like Bitter Apple (which is something you can spray to prevent puppies from chewing things - check out your local pet supply store).
He is so little just keep repeating the lesson. He'll get it - they love their treats!

thats one from last week, when i have more posts ill EMBED pictures for you guys
thanks for the advice, it seems ive read alot of blogs forums and guides, the main problem i have is HOW do i teach the doggy to go down, HOW do i teach him to stay
i understand i need treats to reward him and keep short training intervals but my difficulty is making the dog understand what to do... seems everyone says "read the guides" but when i read the guys its just general info and no advice!
ill try to read more on this site today and see if theres any good stuff
thanks for responding to me, it seems the labradorforums co uk has more users and alot more things but i dont find PAYING 10euros a year for an account worth it, i would gladly donate 10$ but requiring me to pay to use a service is just nonsense!
weird i posted but it wont show up !
of course i can post picshttp://i53.tinypic.com/35d98ie.jpg , ill embed some pictures after i get 6 posts
i just read the down and im gonna try it today.... i am hoping there are more tips like that on the forum
ive read alot of blogs forums this that and alot is just reward with treat and dont punish but doesnt give actual physical advice on how to do certain things
thanks for support and hope i meet some good lab owners who have positive advice and not negative feedback![]()
