Tank is 99.9% of the time house trained. He will only mark when another males had been in the house. The other day my uncle brought his dog over and right after they left Tank marked right in the doorway! I always say ah! clap my hands and he is put in the bathroom for a few minutes. The other dog had not went to the bathroom in the house. How do I stop this? Why is he only doing it with males?

I was hoping there were some replies to this as Bristol JUST did this for the first time two days ago. But it was when we visited my parents' house. They have a male dog, but no one was home. So he sniffed around the house and then peed on the table!!! What the hey! So hopefully someone else has an idea for this!
The many faces of Bristol.
Spike tried to do this a few days after Bailey left. I was vacuuming and tipped over the footstool and I saw him do "the sniff" and I think I caught it in time. I yelled "No potty in the house!" to which he responded with a huge grin and tail wagging a mile a minute. My son heard me yelling and brought him outsideHaven't seen him try that again. We do have a cat tho so he might just be used to having another animals smell in the house (?)
