I'm thinking of moving Spike's crate into our bedroom. Right now it's basically taking up most of the family room and since he doesn't use it except at bedtime I may as well put it in the bedroom. That way too - if i want to get up alittle early and get all my stuff done and maybe have a casual cup of coffee I think he would be ok sleeping in. He also gets all the kid sounds (open second floor) and they don't seem to sleep much at night so he may sleep more soundly. Lately he's just been crated when i go to bed anyway so that won't be a problem. Should it be ok to just move his crate?
Also, riding in the car. He wears a harness but manages to twist himself horribly as I'm driving. We've been going to see the breeders vet an hour away and we switched off riding in the back with him (boy it felt good to drive). I managed to keep him untangled but hub wasn't so diligent (don't even get me started) . Does anyone have any tried and true methods for car rides? He'll definitely be in the front seat if we just put him in freely. I'm thinking of putting his crate in the van for the next trip but the car is newer and rides better (and the ac works better![]()
Thanks

I have moved the crate into my room before and the dogs actually slept better. In the car I hook the leash to the dogs and then rap it around the head rest to wear they can move a little but still not jump up into the front seat.
