    that's too much work
Besides I tried doing just that and it didnt work. I'll go back and try again and see what I did wrong, and I do agree it is to much work even if it does work
    Please clarify "too much work"

Is it the remembering to click on the "GO ADVANCED" button?
    OR
    the remembering where it's located?
    OR
is it the effort involved in making the click?

Click on the "GO ADVANCED" button.

You will now be able to edit the title to put in something like "Update at top" , etc.

Got it, Bob, I'll go advanced from now on!! Thanks so much!

    Click on "Edit"

You will see the raw copy of your post including the title.

NOW, look below that copy and you'll see a button marked "SAVE" and just to the right of it, one labeled "GO ADVANCED"

Click on the "GO ADVANCED" button.

You will now be able to edit the title to put in something like "Update at top" , etc.

Bob - I think the problem is the main title. What you are suggesting only corrects the title within the thread but not the title that appears when you look into the forum? (I think. )

I want it to be like the old board. You could go back into your post and change the main title.

Thats what I just said to Bob. You are all talking about the main title that appears in the forum, not the one within the thread.

    Not so.

    Try it in "Testing"

Originate a thread with a title and minimal text.

    Save it.

    Edit it.

    Choose the "GO ADVANCED" button.

    Edit your title.

    Save it.

Then view it with the changed thread title.

    Works for me.

    Hey Bob,

Ok this is weird. It works in the testing thread. BUT, try changing one of your titles in the Odds and Ends forum...

...for some reason it only changes the title within the post NOT the thread title in the forum.

I just tried changing the I-Phone user thread. You'll notice the title in the thread is changed but in the forum it remains the same.
