Oh my goodness -- 16! I do hope that both of my labbies make it to sweet 16. By the way, Summer is absolutely gorgeous and still looks so happy!!

No Abbey was not our first. Our first was Samantha back in 1967. Yes, that is Abbey in the middle picture.

What a great story about Summer! I have a 14 year old lab named Roxy and I have to tell you that Summer's story was so familiar it brought tears to my eyes. Roxy too, sleeps most of the day but when she is up she still just loves being with the family. She is hard of hearing also and has arthritis in her hips. Like Summer, she still loves her treats each day! She is very slow these days but has been the most wonderful dog! We love her!
