I hope you don't mind but I just need to gush a little.
We haven't even had our new senior Hooch for a full 3 months yet and we are soooooooooooo in love with him. He is so sweet and affectionate. He gives lots of kisses and loves to just lay on the couch or bed next to us.
I was just folding some laundry and he is sleeping at the other end of the couch, on his back spread eagle and snoring like you can't believe. Then he starts to run in his sleep and I just whispered "no running on the couch" while I pet him and kiss him and he just let out a whimper and kissed me back.
Of course we still miss our Samson and will never forget him, but Hooch was really good medicine. We just can't believe how fortunate we have been to have two such great Labs in our lives.
I think it goes to show that it doesn't matter how old a dog is when you get them. They're just naturally full of love and you can't help but love them back. Thank God for Dogs!!
Awww Hooch is such a sweetheart! I'm so glad you found him. What a cute story Donna. I think it's so great you are already in love with him. And your other dogs come along with him...It was meant to be you and Hooch!
You have to post more pics soon!

The Love of My Life
Rest in peace my Sweet Chocolate
I Love You and Miss You so much
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

Gushing is almost mandatory here, and God bless you for taking in and giving a senior a loving home.![]()
That is so nice. I am so glad you and Hooch have found each other. Aren't we just so lucky to have our wonderful labbies in our lives![]()
I can picture everything you've described perfectly...and how very lovely that scene is.
One of my favorite quotes:

I am so happy for you and Hooch but also jealous that your are getting wonderful senior labby love. Gosh do I miss that. There is nothing better.
Missing you, my friend.
