Default 17 yr old blk lab...amazing but

My lab who i've had since she's 8 weeks old is now 17.
Pretty good health too. Trouble getting up of course..needs help.
But the real problem is that she totally ignores my wife and I and doesn't want to have anything to do with us. It's sad cause it just started happening about 6 months ago and of course she was ultra loving up until then. What's this all about.
She doesn 't like us anymore.

Dogs tend to pull away from their people when they aren't feeling well. I would take her to the vet.

First off, wow -- what a great age to get to. I agree that you need to take your dog to the vet - labs are very stoic (sp?) and you can't always tell if something is wrong with them. They will, quite often, just prefer to be by themselves when they don't feel well. Having a senior myself (14 yrs), I take her to the vet about every 6 months for a wellness check-up, just to make sure that nothing has popped up and if something has, to treat if before it gets too serious. Would love to see a picture of your senior.

When you say ignore, do you mean when you call her or talk to her? Can she still hear?
