I have a cat who ate nine feet of organza ribbon. She got very quiet, nose was pale and she gave me the "I need help look" one morning. Her surgery involved making several incisions - about a dozen - and extracting the ribbon. She was perfect afterwards and had no ill affects. I am paranoid about her doing it again and always on the lookout for ribbon, string or anything like that she might consume to get that tactile high she must be seeking.
Rich, it's been a week now since Riley's abdominal surgery; how is her recovery coming along? We really would appreciate an update about her.
Thanks....

Prayers for Riley...hope all is well.
My puppy had surgery at 11weeks for intussuseption (not sure thats spelt right) in which his intestines periscoped, cutting off the supply of blood which resulted in them dying. i am not sure how much of his intestines he had removed however, he was fragile for the first few weeks after surgery, i had to try and make him rest and not jump or run about but he has recovered well. The vets must have been fed up of giving me advice after the 3rd phone call as i was so nervous something might go wrong. Fingers crossed Riley will recover quickly x
