Ok, so it has been a week to the day since Ms Penni was spay. I left the e-collar on for the whole week. Only giving her quick breaks so I could scratch her neck for her. After many injuries to the family (LOL) and injuries to light switches and other house parts. I just couldnt take it anymore. Since I have taken it off, the only thing she has paid attention to was cleaning HERSELF. No interest in the incision at all. Am I in the clear? Should I trust her to leave it off at night?

She should be OK at this point. Does her incision look good (healing, pink, not weepy or oozing)? If so - she is fine even if she licks it a little. My females never wore a cone at all and always left it alone.

Yes, I think it looks pretty good. It still is just a teensy puffy around it, but it looks like a human incision wuld a week after surgery (if I had to compare...LOL).
