Bark:
1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 sheath Saltine crackers
1 10 oz bag of baking chips (butterscotch, peanut butter, chocolate, white chocolate, etc)
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Heat butter and brown sugar in small saucepan until melted. Stir.
Spray baking sheet with non-stick spray.
Lay out Saltine crackers on a baking sheet as if you are laying tile.
Pour melted butter/ sugar mixture over Saltines trying to cover evenly.
Bake Saltines for 15 minutes.
Remove Saltines from oven. They may have spread as the butter mixture cooked – push Saltines back together with spatula. Pour baking chips over Saltines. Wait 5 minutes as the baking chips heat and then spread evenly over Saltines with Spatula.
Place baking sheet in fridge for about ½ hour. Pry Bark from pan and break into morsels. Store and serve.

This could be so cool for Christmas. Use white choc chips and sprinkle w/red-green sprinkles. Or do they make red/green chips this time of year??
I make these every year. They are super easy and everybody seems to love them. Try sprinkling a little bit of crushed up Heath or Scor (sp?) bar on top of the chocolate before it hardens. Yummm!

I just made the same thing today. But my family calls it "Toffee Cracker Crunch" and its pretty much the same thing. We only bake our saltines for 7 minutes though. And then on top of the chocolate chips we put crushed walnuts. Its awesome!!!
