This was a favorite family recipe from my grandparents easy to make and sooo delicious

1 pot roast cut into chunks
1 48 oz bottle of Ketchup
44 0z water
2-3 table spoons white vinegar
1 large onion
crushed black pepper

Cut the pot roast into chunks about 3 inches, (it shrinks while cooking so don’t cut too small)… place into a 9x13 baking pan. Pour in the entire bottle of Ketchup fill the bottle about ¾ of the way with water and pour into pan add the vinegar mix well. Sprinkle crushed black pepper as much as you want on top. For best results let is marinate overnight in the refrigerator

Bake covered in the oven at 350 for about 4 hours. Uncover for another 30 min or so. Serve with mashed potatoes this makes a wonderful gravy and if done right is very tender.

A variation is to make it like a classic pot roast and cut up potatoes carrots and celery and mix all together and bake.

This can also be done in a crock pot
